there's a weird dynamic going on, none of them look happy, or seem to be enjoying themselves, little interaction, the blocking is strange, and choice of songs.. two places especially drags, the whole thing lacks oumph...

I attended the same concert the following week in Madrid (03-05-1990) at Jacara. Incredible. I still remember Marty breaking the strings of the guitar !!!!!! Unforgettable

I used to read Steves blog - The Time Being but life can be mischievious at times and I stopped reading, so anyhoo... Some years ago a very loud party was under way at his apartment complex, and given that the noise was very loud Steve has no choice but to find the source and see if they could turn it down. Steve finds the apartment and knocks on the door and after what seemed like forever the door opens and two young men are looking at him. He tells them that the noise is very loud and can be heard all throughout the complex. Now, as Steve is talking one of them is staring and remarks : " You look familar, I've seen you somewhere before." To which Steve tells him that he is the singer from the band The Church. And the young man replies: " No, it wasnt you, I have no idea who you are or of your band." They agree to turn down the music and noise, and Steve leaves. I've always loved this story and can just picture Steve explaining who he was...😊.

Its true theyre in a class of their own. 🙂👌

Don't you wish the studio version of Myrrh had Marty's glorious solo at the end and that Roman brought Heyday to an end with the thundering cascade of drums that Richard plays here instead of fading out?

marty was such a show-off. hahaha. steve has to have PERFECT monitors or he sways WAY off key. love this band. miss peter but oh well, am not one of these types who say no marty or peter no church. it's always been Mr K's band
